    A deep-green brecciated serpentine with areas of black and white, Verde Alpi is quarried in the Valle d'Aosta region of northwestern Italy. Verde Alpi is a classic serpentine ? part of a unique stone group named for its resemblance to snake skin that has been sought since antiquity.
